Charlottetown Police Services is investigating the report of a firearm found at a city residence on Saturday (Nov 12).
Police responded to a residence on Trafalgar Street where a riffle inside a fabric firearm carrying case was left on the homeowners property. Police were contacted by the firearm owner on Sunday and learned that the owner had been hunting in NB and upon his return to PEI, had been transferring items from one vehicle to another and the case had been inadvertently left behind.
The investigation is ongoing to determine if charges will be laid.
