Disturbance on Rankin Court Leads to Several Charges

Charlottetown Police Services responded to a complaint of an intoxicated male causing a disturbance while exiting a Taxi cab.

It was learned that the intoxicated male initially did not want to exit the cab, he eventually did, but caused damage to the vehicle when doing so.  The male then proceeded to be verbally abusive to tenants watching and threatened one of them.

Upon Police arrival, the 47 year old Charlottetown male was arrested and has been charged with:

• Uttering threats
• Mischief under $5000
• Causing a disturbance
• Fail to comply with an Undertaking

The accused appeared at a remand hearing this morning and has been held in custody and will appear in Provincial Court on Thursday June 6 at 10:00am.
