Charlottetown Police Services responded to several complaints of possible impaired drivers over the weekend, two of which have led to criminal code charges.
On Saturday Oct 19th at approximately 5:40 pm, Police were called to Euston Street where a vehicle had backed into another vehicle and had left the scene. Police quickly located the driver of that vehicle a short distance away and determined that he was impaired and was subsequently arrested. A 34 year old Roseville man has been charged with refusing to providing a breath sample.
On Saturday Oct 19th at approximately 7:50 pm, Police responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver on Summer Street. Police located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. The driver displayed signs of impaired by alcohol and was arrested. A 63 year old Charlottetown female was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle.
On Sunday morning at 2:40 am, Police observed a vehicle driving erratically and pulled it over. The driver of the vehicle displayed signs of impairment by alcohol and was arrested. A 19 year old Murray Harbour man was subsequently charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle.
The three accused’s will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
