While on routine patrol at 3:45 pm yesterday afternoon, Police observed a vehicle travelling on the Lower Malpeque Road with an expired registration sticker. The vehicle was pulled over and it was determined that the driver was impaired by alcohol and was arrested. Breath sample results were over twice the legal limit.
A 45 year old Charlottetown male was subsequently charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
