Domestic Violence – Charges Laid

Charlottetown Police Services responded to a domestic violence complaint that occurred in a business parking lot at 00:45 am on January 18th.  Both the female victim and the male suspect had left the scene prior to police arrival.   The male suspect had been evading Police since that time and was located and arrested on Saturday (Feb 6th).

As a result of the investigation, a 36 year old Charlottetown male has been charged with assault and breach of probation.

The accused has been remanded in custody and will appear in Provincial Court this afternoon.
