Last night at 7:20 pm, Charlottetown Police Services received a complaint of a possible impaired driver leaving a business parking lot on University Avenue. E-Watch cameras located the suspect vehicle traveling north on University Avenue and dispatchers directed Officers in that direction. Patrol Officers where able to locate the vehicle turning east on Belvedere Ave and effected a traffic stop. The vehicle driver displayed signs of being impaired by alcohol and was arrested.
A 30 year old Stratford female was subsequently charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle after providing breath samples over two and a half times the legal limit. The accused will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
