At 3:00 am this morning, Charlottetown Police Services responded to a single vehicle collision on the Arterial Highway. The driver of the vehicle was not injured but displayed signs of being impaired by alcohol and was arrested.
A 27 year old St Peters female was subsequently charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle after providing breath sample that were twice the legal limit. She was also issued a 90 day driving prohibition order and the vehicle has been impounded for 30 days.
The accused will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
