Spike in Theft from Vehicle Occurrences

Over the last few days Charlottetown Police Services has seen an increased volume of complaints reporting thefts from vehicles.  With the nicer weather upon us, these type of thefts typically become more common.

Several communities have been affected:

  • West Royalty
  • Spring Park
  • Downtown

Charlottetown Police will be stepping up patrols in these areas.

Residents can take some effective preventative measures such as:

  • Do not leave valuables such as purses, wallets and electronic devices in vehicles
  • Always keep your doors locked

Residents are also encouraged to immediately report suspicious activity to Police.
