At 9:30 pm last night, Charlottetown Police Services responded to an incident between two vehicles on the Norwood Road. The incident involved two vehicles driving in the same direction when the vehicle at the rear passed the other and made gestures to the other male driver. The incident escalated when one of the drivers brandished what appeared to be a bat and threatened the other.
The investigation into this matter has led to charges of assault and uttering threats against a 30 year old Charlottetown man. He was also charged under the Highway Traffic Act for driving without any insurance.
The accused was released with conditions to have no contact with the victim and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
