While on routine patrol at 1:25 am on Sunday morning, Police observed a vehicle travelling south on Queen Street nearly hitting a light pole and a parked vehicle. The vehicle was pulled over and it was determined that the driver was impaired by alcohol and the driver was arrested. Breath sample results were almost three times the legal limit.
A 31 year old Charlottetown male was subsequently charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
