Stolen Vehicle Recovered – Charges Laid

Charges have been laid in connection to the stolen Dodge Journey reported to media yesterday.

While on routine patrol last night on Euston Street, Police located a vehicle matching the description of the stolen Dodge Journey and conducted a traffic stop.  The vehicle was confirmed as stolen and the male driver was arrested.  A male passenger that had been inside the vehicle and had exited the vehicle upon Police arrival was also arrested a short time later for an outstanding arrest warrant.

The driver, a 33 year old Charlotttetown man has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle and breach of probation.  The other male, a 23 year old Charlottetown man was arrested on the outstanding warrant and charged with failing to appear in court.

Both males remain in custody and will appear in court this morning.
